Karly Nygaard-Petersen is a Senior Manager at Evo Car Share and BCAA. She spent nearly a decade of her career focused on shared mobility before moving into the impact space and now leads BCAA’s community impact and purpose initiatives. Her work brings to life the 117-year-old organization’s Purpose to ‘Empower British Columbians to Move Forward’ in innovative new ways. Building on BCAA’s rich history of protecting and helping British Columbians, Nygaard-Petersen and her teams are evolving BCAA’s purpose-led initiatives to build stronger, more resilient communities across the province, in ways that are relevant to how we live, work, and play in BC.
Nygaard-Petersen also holds the position of Associate Faculty at Royal Roads University’s School of Business where she teaches in the Master of Business Administration Program.
Recently named one of the Most Influential Women in Mobility report 2023, Nygaard-Petersen has published in popular media as well as academic journals. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in both English Literature and Visual Arts, as well as a Master’s degree in Business and is currently completing her doctoral research, which has won numerous awards and garnered significant media attention.
She is most proud of her role as a mom to her 5-year-old son.
