Omi is a Principal at Graphite Ventures, one of Canada’s most active and consistent VC firms, the team has invested in more than 200 companies over the past decade. Graphite launched the $110M+ Graphite Fund IV in 2021 with a focus on Seed and Series A B2B opportunities across Canada. Prior to that, Omi co-founded Aventrock, a Calgary-based family office with a focus on investing in early-stage technology companies (www.aventrock.com). Omi also serves as the Executive Director of the Venture Capital Association of Alberta (www.vcaa.ca), Alberta’s primary industry association for venture capital, private equity and angel investors interested in furthering the industry in the province.
In 2021, Omi joined as the COO of a restaurant management platform company called PirPos (portfolio company) which serves thousands of restaurants, this company was acquired in by a leading ERP in South America called Loggro (www.loggro.com) a year later. Previously, Omi worked in the technology strategy consulting practice at Deloitte where she supported and led cloud technology implementations enabled by SAP and ServiceNow.
Omi holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Supply Chain Management from the University of Calgary.
Her passion for traveling has taken her to explore 46 countries and live in 5 of those.
