Sam Sebastian is the VP and Country Manager for Google Cloud in Canada. In this role, he is responsible for all Cloud & AI business operations in Canada and scaling Google’s enterprise technology division to the private and public sectors in Canada.

Prior to Google Cloud, for five years starting in 2017, Sam was the President & CEO of Pelmorex Corp., the parent company of Canada’s Weather Network, MeteoMedia in Quebec, El Tiempo in Spain and Weather Source in the U.S.  Pelmorex is one of the largest weather data multi-platform media companies in the world.  The company also operates Canada’s National Emergency Alerting System, Alert Ready.

Before leading Pelmorex, Sam was responsible for all of Google’s operations in Canada as the VP & Country Manager.  He joined Google in 2006 in Chicago and held a variety of executive level roles in the U.S. before taking his role in Canada.  Prior to Google, he was a General Manager and Senior Vice President at a large online classified business, Classified Ventures (cars.com, apartments.com).  Sam started his career at Arthur Andersen in accounting and consulting.

Sam has been on many for-profit and non-profit Boards of Directors in the U.S. and Canada and currently sits on the Board of Tennis Canada. He graduated from The Ohio State University and holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.  At Ohio State, he played Division I NCAA tennis, where he was a two-time Captain, Big Ten Champion and two-time Academic All American.
