Viren’s strengths are in vendor operations, supplier diversity, global vendor management, and technology management. Having successfully shipped multiple digital platforms, products and business applications in the Voice of the Customer (VOC), telecom and mining industries, Viren has a unique mix of experience in telecom, business operations, mining, product management and management consulting. Viren consistently looks for opportunities to improve digital transformation strategy, build partnerships and cohesion with vendors, and facilitate empowerment to support accelerated transformation.
Current Areas of focus for Viren include vendor management with a customer focus on business operations during a firm’s transition, on-time delivery, coordinating across numerous commercial and go-to-market vendors/stakeholders to ensure that vendors are evaluated correctly, and partnering with vendors, consultants, and early adopters/suppliers to ensure that what we create is usable by our customers. Viren has worked previously at Telus and Hexagon Mining, and is currently with Teck Resources Ltd. Viren holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of British Columbia and an MBA in Technology Management from Simon Fraser University.
